It was morning, just around 9am,when her water broke. A foot was the cause of it all, delivery wasn't till 3p.m, which was after numerous efforts from a team of 10 midwives,a raving mad doctor who left when the birth showed complications.
I couldnt turn in my mothers womb,I didnt, reason being I was a big baby and now my leg was already out. Mum was restless, all she heard were the midwives mummering how they had no option and saving the mother was the priority now, the baby couldnt make it,she had been in there for too long.
Plain and simple ,they laid out the options baby jasmine had- her deliverance as a corpse or of her being a retard- the only possibility of a normal life.
Alas, she was born, she cried not, and was taken outside the hospital to feel the chilling cold as a way of recacitation.
She was healthy, heavy and a miracle indeed!
Miracle baby-my mom's preferred nick to me, for till this very day, she believes her baby was saved for a purpose.
Moms trust in my abilities has never died down, matter of fact, she gets more convinced everytime I achieve at anything in my life.
I never did KCPE, I was a standard 7th student, merely begining the term when she decided to send me to two different schools, and a different system in itself. I found myslef in a new uniform in a school i loathed, and in Form 1-a highschooler now.
That didnt last long, a term to be exact, and I found myslef in yet another school,Imani, though by some error,in a lower class-year 7. OH! Mom rushed over there so quickly to solve the mishap, and they agreed on my doing the year 8(Form 2 ) end term exams to join year 9(Form 3) with them.
Huh! I passed and now I was a YEAR 9(FORM 3) student straight from standard 7. 1 word -EPIC!!!
EPICNESS,MOMS DOING,,,,,or JUST GOD!
When you think about your mothers love towards you,how she suffered through tidious hours of labour just to bring you here, how she worked hard to bring you up giving you the best of everything she could. How she put up with your attitude and your teenage years of disrespect.
How much more does the Father, Our Lord love us. He loved us and had us in mind long before we came.
He made our mothers, He made us, He planned out every situation, our beginnings to our ends.
He saved me at birth, He saved me time and time again. He saw me through school, all through till graduating 3 yrs of university.
Though His greatest act of love was sending His only son, Jesus, to die for us so that we may live.
Selflessness, yet we still continue to live sinful lives.
How many more miracles must we hear about or witness to believe in HIM?
I've personally witnessed and heard of quite a number, most in the scriptures, others from my surroundings and the ultimate one-MY BIRTH!
He has carried me all these years and I choose to believe in the bigger plan, in the plan that saw me through school in such a manner,in the plan that led me back home, for nothing my dear friends is a coincidence.
ITS NOT EPIC-ITS ALL IN THE PLAN.
