WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ROSES!

Every great thing starts with a humble beginning.
Wake up and smell the coffee wasnt quite doing it for me! Im a flower ready to blossom, and roses came to mind. Jasmine's the name, born merely 20 yrs ago,ive lived quite an adventurous two decades, mostly on the wrong adventures, the wrong thrills, ultimately the wrong journey, with all the right turns.
WATER-Psalms 42:1-2As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2  My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

I needed the word,i needed God, I needed to be watered to grow, but I was willingly dieing thirsty, dried up or overly showered by the wrong storms, storms of lust, anger, pain and fear.
How was I to blossom in such bad weather?

SUNLIGHT-  Psalms 30:5-For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

That verse was my sunlight, for out of the darkness i called my life,I understood that the night time would last only a short while, and that this flower would have her sun with the morning's daylight.
Nothings lasts forever, not even pain.............. though I forgot and accepted the role and its consequences. I remember reaching a point when I would drink and party and do all the wrong things consciously, and at once I accepted the darker side, hell itself as my consequence. I grew numb, lost myself and my identity.
Where was my sunlight? I was not a radiant flower anymore-I needed my sunlight.

SOIL-
"A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. He who has ears, let him hear" (Matthew 13:1-23)

It is easy to see how we can all point to times in our own lives when we have allowed the soils of our heart to be hard, rocky, weedy, or fertile. How is each soil instructive to the process of conversion and how does it affect our growth ?
Soil serves to stabilize plants and prevent them from falling over. My soil was infertile, the grounds i layed upon only corrupted me,I was well bent,no roots to stand firm on,It was time to go home.

Kenya,Im coming home. My journey with God began.

  3. Yo, flowergirl-blossoms! This is an awesome post. Sometimes we run slow, sometimes we run quick (chasing after the wind). However, when we walk and notice the sound of water flowing, the breeze past the window, the abstract of the clouds then we live. It is by noticing the present that we truly appreciate our magical life. You present a nice reflection of some of your present life.
